Inappropriate laughter
Is an affliction from which I suffer
Finding humour
Much to the annoyance of others
An accidental double entendre
Or a misjudged word that turns
An otherwise dark moment
Into one of merriment and mirth
But only to me
It’s not that I find
People’s misfortune that funny
But the way it’s reported
So often tickles me
But all my peers
Only ever see
Is my laughing
At another’s agony
😦

Yup, you said laughing at the impropriate moments will hurt you as well as others. Loved the way you penned it.

I can totally relate to this. My mind tends to the double meaning in most anything, and well, sometimes it’s hilarious.
