I knew better than to look
Before I leapt
For I never would have jumped
Had I ever checked
I closed my eyes and from the cliff
I lunged
Without a clue what lay below
I took the plunge
I didn’t have a clue
How far I’d fall
Or if I’d survive the landing
Or if I’d even land at all
But I couldn’t bear to spend
Another day
I knew no matter what
That I had to get away
No more listening to others
No more time lost saving face
I trusted in myself
And took the Leap of Faith
