We are caught
In the middle

I see no end
To this disease
No way to cure
This deadly virus

It’s unavoidable
Unpreventable
It’s in all that
We consume

No vaccination
Medication
No way to make
Ourselves immune

We can’t eradicate
Our need to hate
And instinct to impugn
Just because
We can’t accept the truth
