I’m not writing much at the moment. Not poetry, anyway. My main focus, creatively, has been on musical compositions or trying to make progress with one of several story ideas. I’ll likely look to combine two or three at some point, but I need to figure which world/MC I want to keep.
Otherwise I’ve been assembling the manuscripts for my next two poetry collections. One will be released at the beginning of 2022, with the other potentially out anytime between now and early 2023. The first is, again, focused on politics and society. It should, in theory, pick up where my 2021 release, Dissection, left off. Less waffle though. And more grit.
The other collection has just one subject. If you’ve read any of my other releases (I know somebody has… they bought one anyway) you’ll have seen I dedicate each one to the same person. This book will be just that; a collection of poems written about and for my love. There will be some poems that have featured in previous releases, but the majority will be original content.
There’s a mental health collection in the works, too, but I have nowhere enough poems to consider when this might get published. Same again with a writing-focused anthology. I plan on putting together some more videos for my instrumental compositions as well.
Some of my site is getting updated. This might mean some posts being taken down, or pages getting moved around. I’ve completely redone the page where I listed my full song creations, adding some more detail and hopefully making a little easier to read.
Oh, and I’m going to try to be more active on here again, in terms of reading and commenting on other sites. I’ve struggled to do that for the last, well, forever, but I’ll definitely make more of an effort to engage with you all. Covid turned me into a hermit, even online.
Fingers crossed the inspiration for writing poetry will return soon.
Peace out.
